An anointed preacher, teacher and psalmist for the Lord, Pastor Derek A Griffin is the Founder and Senior Pastor of J.U.S.T Family Worship Center an innovative and progressive church located in Clearwater, Florida.

Pastor Griffin was born and raised in Freeport, New York and as a young child Pastor Griffin was always fascinated with music and with the powerful voices that resonated from the choir loft of his small Baptist Church, music was Pastor Griffin first passion within ministry. Prior to working within ministry in his church Pastor Griffin had a heart for the youth and never understood why there was always so many just hanging out on the street corners. So with a heart for the neighboring youth and a passion for music Pastor Griffin started a Community Choir. The Voices of Shabach Community Choir Inc. VOS Community choir started June 19, 1999 this choir was a driving force in Nassau Community. They served the community by ministering in Nursing Homes, Hospital, Ministering with a local church at prison ministry and singing at numerous churches. This choir was known for there volume and range. Thus, the name Shabach, meaning a Loud Praise. VOS allowed Pastor Griffin to travel and to sing on stage with such artist as Hezekiah Walker, Timothy Wright, Tramaine Hawkins, and Kim Burrell. Pastor Griffin passion for music constantly grew he eventually enrolled in Five Towns Community College majoring in Jazz Commercial Music and minor in Opera and Vocal Coaching. As Pastor Griffin grew spiritually he knew that there was a mandate on his life and a greater call that he must fulfill. He received his training from Greater Bethel Bible Institute in Queens, NY and Second Baptist Church in Baldwin, NY under the leadership of Preston H Drinks and Perfecting Faith Church, Pastor Donnie McClurkin. Second Baptist Church was Pastor Griffin preparation years for greatness. At Second Baptist he was the Choir Director, Praise & Worship Leader, leader of youth department and worked extensively with his pastor. Pastor Griffin preached his trial sermon and received his ministerial license. Even though his time at Perfecting was short, it was at Perfecting that Pastor McClurkin prophesied into Pastor Griffin life telling him he is called by God to do a great work and thousand of people will be led to him because of his spirit and love for God. It was at Perfecting that God told Pastor Griffin, it was time to move. Both Pastor Griffin and First Lady Griffin being born and raised in New York new this would take a great leap of faith. However, Pastor Griffin listened to the voice of Lord and re-located to Clearwater, Fl. Pastor Griffin will often tell people how he felt totally alone and out of his comfort zone in Florida. He discovered that what God wanted, so Pastor Griffin would totally and completely depend on him. It was during that alone time that God connected Pastor Griffin to Bishop Julius A Sloane, Senior pastor of New Day Christian Fellowship Church in Jamaica, NY. Bishop Sloane has sown seeds of greatness into Pastor Griffin, he has opened his arms to J.U.S.T Family Worship Center and to Pastor Griffin as his son in the gospel. On April 20, 2008 Pastor Griffin was Ordinaded by Bishop Sloane.    

J.U.S.T Family Worship Center was birthed out of years of pain and preparation for such a time as this. Pastor Griffin heart is for the people of Florida, to restore hope and let them know that God is concerned about them.
